Josi Clary
Integrative Nutrition Health Coach · certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (2021)
Josi is a health coach who cares, deeply, about helping ordinary people understand their bodies well enough to advocate for themselves. Her focus on bone health grew out of a simple conviction: that most people are handed a single number — a bone-density score — and far too little of the context that actually decides whether a bone breaks.
She completed her training as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2021. Her approach leans toward whole-person, root-cause thinking in the tradition of integrative and functional medicine — while staying honest about where the evidence is solid and where it is still being argued over.
What coaching does
- Help you understand your own bone-health picture in plain language
- Help you organize your history, medications, and past results before an appointment
- Help you prepare clinically useful questions to ask your own doctor
- Point you to evidence-graded, well-sourced education
- Encourage the layered, whole-picture approach she believes in (density + quality + risk + root causes)
What coaching doesn't do
- Diagnose osteoporosis or any medical condition
- Interpret your DXA, REMS, labs, or imaging for you
- Prescribe, adjust, or recommend specific medications, supplements, or doses
- Order tests or override your clinician's judgment
- Provide urgent or emergency care
Coaching is education, not medical care
A health coach is not a licensed medical provider. Josi is not a physician, nurse, dietitian, or densitometrist, and nothing on this site — or in a coaching conversation — is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for your own clinician. When a question needs medical judgment (interpreting a scan, choosing a medication, evaluating symptoms), the right answer is a referral to the appropriate licensed professional — an endocrinologist or osteoporosis specialist, a registered dietitian for nutrition, a physical therapist for exercise programming, or a pharmacist for medication questions. Josi will say so plainly rather than step outside her lane.
The mission
This resource is a labor of love — built to give away real value, not to sell a quick fix. Its aim is to raise the level of understanding around bone health, and to point people toward research that could change how the next generation ages. It is independent, and it is not sponsored by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any device maker, drug company, clinician, or institution named on the site.
