This Privacy Policy explains how Josi Clary Coaching (“we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the Understanding Bone Health website (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you enter your email address to request the free guide, we receive that email address. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, for security and to operate the Site.
- Cookies and similar technologies. The Site itself does not require advertising cookies. Third-party features you choose to use (such as the language translator) may set their own cookies — see “Third-party services” below.
- Interactive tools stay on your device. The personalized appointment checklist, the printable advocacy packs, and the quizzes run entirely in your browser. Any health-related selections you make in those tools are not uploaded to us, saved on our servers, connected to your identity, or sent to analytics. They exist only on your screen for that session, and they disappear when you close or refresh the page — unless you choose to print or save a copy yourself.

- To send you the guide you requested and, if you opt in, occasional educational updates.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To respond to your questions.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
Third-party services
The Site relies on a few reputable third parties, each with its own privacy practices:
- Hosting (Vercel). The Site is hosted on Vercel, which may process technical/log data on our behalf.
- Translation (Google). If you choose a language other than English, Google’s website translation service processes page content in your browser and may set cookies. See Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Email. Any email address you submit is handled by us and our email service provider solely to deliver the guide and any updates you request. We do not share it for unrelated purposes.
- Contact form. Messages sent through our contact form are delivered to us by email through a third-party form-processing service and are kept only as long as needed to respond to you. Please do not submit medical records, lab or scan reports, insurance identifiers, or details of urgent symptoms through the form — it is not a secure medical channel. You can ask us to delete your message at any time.
- Donations. Donations are made directly on the Buck Institute’s website. We do not collect or process your payment information; the Buck Institute’s own privacy policy applies to your gift.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
